Replacing SlideOut Seals

My rubber seals are loose and coming off at spots. It seems as though the metal teeth on the inside are rusted out and not grabbing anymore It doesn't look like too much of a complicated job to handle myself and this is the only site I could find to order material RV Parts and Motorhome Parts Online Outlet

Anyone know of other sites to order this material? I'm also unsure of the correct rubber mold to order but the company will mail me a $2.00 sample before I order...

you could go back to Jayco and get a price from them. against popular belief, the manufacturers are not always thieves and you'll know you got the right part.

I just replaced my inner seals a month ago. I purchased the seal from http://www.uni-grip.com/dealer_catalog.pdf

Their service is excellent and they are the main supplier of these seals to several RV manufacturers. If you give the model of your RV they may know exactly the correct seal. They are not the supplier to Winnebago but they did have the correct seal for mine.

I am going to attempt mine as well as the metal grippers rusted in mine too. I just ordered 32 feet of PN# ED-504070 from Uni-Grip http://www.uni-grip.com/dealer_catalog.pdf Very nice salesperson and reasonably priced at $3.00 a foot. Hopefully for just over a hundred bucks I'll have my slide weather free. The salesperson also recommended after install to add a bead of silicone on the top of the U channel to prevent moisture from entering into the channel (and as we know) rusting out the metal. He stated that they also tell this to the manufacturer but they rarely follow this procedure. There was a good write up by TurtleBack on install back in Dec. 2011. This is how I am going to attempt.
