On my second, & last, Dometic here. I keep an eye on what is available that will fit so that when the Dometic dies it will be out with the old & in with the new.

We do like to dry camp, mostly only 4 nighters at bluegrass festivals, so having good power is a concern. We already have a genny & a 2kw pure sine wave inverter charger. The weak link is the battery bank which is a 215ah AGM 4D battery. Installing another 4D battery is under consideration.

We replaced our twenty year old dometic with a ten point five cubic foot wirlpool, when the dometic finally gave up three years ago. It worked great for nine months when the compressor quit, whirlpool replaced it under warranty with no questions, it did take almost two months to get a compressor however (they are not made in the US and no one had one in stock). But it is the best upgrade we have made at one third the price of a new three way. Cold beer and hard ice cream life is good.

We had a 2016 Sandpiper 377FK. Loved the residential refrigerator when we hand full hookups. Hated it when we were dry camping. Had 2 group 24 and 2 Trojan 105 batteries and still had to run the gen 9 hours a day.

Over 1.5 years full time use and over 10k towing miles with ZERO issues. We received KitchenAid since they ran out of whirlpools. I like the KA handles much better.

The compressor was changed out in ours when it was a couple three years old. Love the residential.
