Resealing the roof

Recently purchased a 2015 Heartland Bighorn 5er and so far am extremely pleased with it...

I’ve decided to err on the side of caution and have the entire roof cleaned and totally resealed using Dicor products...

No leaks at all but feel that by going ahead and having this done will give me some peace of mind....

I just did my annual inspection and maintenance for potential leaks. You should also also look at the sidewall seams and reseal as needed. For a permanent fix for the front and end cap seams on the roof and a couple of the sky lights I used 6 inch Eternabond followed by some Dicor self leveling caulk along the edges. For the walls I used some OSI Quad sealant but RVFlex and maybe some others can be used. Don't use silicone. The sealant is very sticky and kind of hard to smooth so I used some painters tape on each side of the repair to keep it neat. Dipping your finger in some mineral spirits really helps with smoothing it. Just be sure to pull the tape right away.

Why don't you spray bed liner that will be the end of the problem.

Wouldn’t an entire roof sprayed with bed liner add a lot of weight????

I have it sprayed on the lower front panel on the front of our Berk....
