Residential Refrigerator
We have 17 Sandpiper 372 and our LG residential refrigerator has given us on going issues from day one. We have camped multiple times without it working only to take it to the repair shop have it fixed to work two months and then it go out again. Looking for other owners experience about the best quality refrigerator to replace the LG with. I know these types of refrigerators aren’t really meant for RV use, but some have to be holding up better than our LG.

Our Frigidaire Gallery series has done quite well fulltiming since May 27, 2016
What has been failing in the LG model? Compressor or electronics?

The electronics seem to be the issue. I recently read where there is a class action lawsuit against LG for refrigerators built during the time this one was. I need to look into this and if so see if I can get a replacement refrigerator.

Sorry to hear of all the trouble with your LG fridge. I thought they made quality stuff. Hopefully, you get a good replacement unit with no issues. Stay on them and don’t give up. We still love our residential fridge, even with the display green LED digit legs dim or not glowing, and last week had trouble replacing the water filter cartridge-got stuck, wouldn’t release clip in the back.

Our Fisher Paykel RF170 has given us very good service. No issues at all since we purchased it in 2017.

I just installed a 21 cf refrigerator. I brought it in through a window in one of the slideouts. Some owners of RV remove a windshield and others have removed the entire door to get them through. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Just a FYI. If you do the front window. Level the rv for install. My last RV window was removed to repair the front. Shop asked me to come and level for them on reinstall

…..newer models/brands of fridge use internal inverters so this may be less of an issue going forward but if you boondock much and have a MSW inverter vs a PSW to convert battery or solar power... the MSW inverter might be part of your issue?????
