RV Wash Services

I was in an RV/Resort Park south of San Antonio when some people came by washing people's rigs with a portable high pressure washer. I declined for two reasons one is I am kind of a cheap skate (I'll do it myself) and Two I don't like high pressure water on my rig. That kind of pressure can do all sorts of things, damage decals, force water around seals and the list goes on.
Now for the issue, one of the rigs next to mine decided to hire their services and they picked an extremely windy day to do this. All of the debris from the washed rig blew over onto mine, and it looked like crap. Then they had the gall to ask me to wash mine for $100.
I told them they would need to clean up the mess they made of mine. They wanted to charge me $100 I wasn't paying they to fix what they messed up. They reluctantly washed mine off using high pressure and doing a very crappy job. Lets just say I wasn't a very happy camper!
Just wondering if anyone else has had any experience with this sort of thing? What would you have done?

I would have demanded the crew pay ME $100 for the mess they made and washed it myself.

I use a waterless wash product I found on Amazon. It was designed for the aircraft industry called 'Wash Wax All'.

I will try some. You just spray and use a scrubber and then wipe off?

I would NOT be happy. Most of the parks I've been to lately do not allow washing inside the park, maybe for that very reason.

I got the kit that included a long handle for the mop heads. Its really pretty simple to use. The more the bugs the more work it will be to get them all off. I didn't try to clean my entire rig in one day, its too big an area for a fat outta shape guy, so I took two days. Just spray it on and wipe it off.

Elatta1954--
You should have gone to the office and told them about the problem--most parks don't allow just anyone to come on to the property and do work. If this is the situation where you were, a quick mention from the office to the guys would have gotten it taken care of.
If the office didn't care, then you probably got the best you could have out of it.

I have used Blue Beacon on the road with very good results. There is a campground in the Pigeon Forge TN area that has a RV wash bay, they charge by the foot. I think it's River Plantation

Depends on what tip they have in the pressure washer. A white tip is for autos. It's rated as delicate with a 40* spray.

We have our coach and toad washed & waxed twice a year in Yuma. They bring their own spot-free water and do a great job. Costs about $125.00 for both vehicles. Have never done damage or made a mess of our neighbors rig.

Without water I would be worried that wash wax all could put small scratches in paint. Is this a concern?

I've used Blue Beacon many times. They do a good job, it's inexpensive, they will do the toad as well, and they're fast.

Some parks will let you wash your own RV (some add a surcharge to do so). Some parks have services approved by them to come in and wash.
