Satellite wiring

We have a 2016 Jayco 5th Wheel and we have recently purchased Dish Satellite. I have both antenna and satellite plugs at each TV. We have also purchased two receivers for our two indoor tvs. Unfortunately when we set the whole system up we are unable to pick up a signal in our bedroom. We have no problem with our cable signal. Can any one give me advice on how to connect this tv signal. We have been unable to track the satellite cable to a splitter.
Thanks in advance

I ain't no expert, but you need to be sure of the cables coming from the bedroom and where they are in the ent ctr area. Once you find the correct cables from the bedroom, hook them up in place of the main TV and see if now the br works like the main did. It if does, the rest should be logical hookup. You probably can only watch what is on the main TV. And, I ain't no expert, but mine br tv works...

> You purchased Dish...

Can you be more specific? I assume you purchased an outside portable dish system and 1 or 2 Dish receivers and are trying to self install ( not from a dealer that showed you how to use it ) ?

The coax cables from the RV jacks labeled SAT are generally connected to pre-wire coax for a roof top dish to Sat Rcvr connection. This is all they do at the RV factory as SAT is generally a dealer installed option as different roof top equipment is used depending on your preference for Dish or DirectTV and if customer does not want SAT it's one less hole in the roof for RV maker to spend $ to cover and deal with potential leaks for. If so, the cables run into a cavity in the space between ceiling and roof and a few feet are coiled up there. In case of new Winnebagos there is a sticker on the roof that says where the hole to access the cables should be drilled and that it should be no larger than X size.

You can check with Jayco or your dealer for your particular RV.

My TV circuit in the main body of the coach has 2 plugs... one for the SAT service and other for the ANT service.. in the bed room there is only ONE plug and a ceiling mounted switch that is both a 12VDC plug, an amp for the ANT signal and a switch to move from the ANT circuit to the SAT circuit.... if that switch is not on the SAT position the signal won't get to the TV.. hope this helps....

Does your Jayco have 3 inputs in the utility center: One for "Cable", One for "Sat" and one for "Aux"? If so, you are wired as follows:

"Sat" goes directly to your living room TV.

"Aux" goes to a splitter which will connect to your bedroom and outside tv (If you have one. Otherewise it will go directly to your BR.

If you put those two lines on a splitter you can get signal to both sets provided you have a receiver for each one (Or, move oner receiver between them when is use.

To clarify: Go behind the utility center. Unscrew the coax that goes to "Sat" and the one that goes to "Aux". Connect them to a splitter (Output). Connect the Input end of the splitter back to "Sat" with a short RJ-6 cable.
