Slide out

Have a Montana Mountaineer. I was trying to center my lower cable on my slide out and clean the dead bugs off the cable, when it popped out of the bracket. Tried to put it in but it is to short now. I was going to pull it in a little to see if I could get it in. I thought I should ask first. Any thoughts would be great. The other 3 cables are attached. Thanks Ray

No idea what to suggest except you may want to call the dealer and see if there is a trick that they use. Good luck.

Are you talking about a cable operated slideout?

If so it is a BAL system. The cables are under tension by using springs. There is a panel on the inside of the slideout on top with a piece of trim over it. You take the trim off and you well see the springs and motor.

Here is a video on them. The presenter is talking about replace a broken cable but it well show how the system works.

Also here is the BAL manual for them

Hope this is what you are talking about and it helps you out.
