Air bags are the way to go for fifth wheel.
Don’t try to use them with pickup campers. For them you need sway bar and helper springs. Air bags let you drive with a lean in wind.
I’ve had a couple fifth wheels. They have advantages and disadvantages compared to other choices. I currently have a modest class A (Georgetown 30x3). I tow a Cherokee.
My history with RVs is that most stay 2-3 years. I kept one (21 ft Class C) 10 years. And my total time with three pickup campers is also close to ten years. Trailers and fifth wheels lasted less than three years each.
My next one, which won’t happen for a year or two, will likely be similar or smaller than my current Class A.
