We really want one but my 06 3500 drw is not capable of towing it. What are you using as the TV?

we've had ours for nearly a year, hate the location of the washer & dryer, hate how small the bedroom is. Love the amount of storage outside of the rig, love the flexibility of the living room couches. It comes down to personal preference.

We too have a Grand Design, not the 379FL, but the 369RL. Have had it two years this month with about 12,000 miles on it now. Very pleased with it

2013 Silverado 2500 Durmax engine Allison transmission 4X4, I called my Chevy dealer and told him I wanted to trade for a 1 ton and told him I was buying a new 5th wheel he asked me for the specs and said that my truck would pull it just fine that I didn't need a one ton, so after we get our 5th wheel if we need to we will beef up the suspension.

Thats a heavy trailer. Most chevy salesmen dont have a clue when it comes to towing RV's. You better look at the truck towing specs yourself. You are legally liable for having an adequate tow vehicle. The suspension is only one of the components that determines the towing capability. What are you going to do to upgrade the rest of the components?

Been in our 379 for about 6 months. There will always been little things you'd do different. No real complaints. Nice in the winter.

379FL

We had been looking and doing research for about a year, because we are selling farm and will be doing this full time for a few years before settling down in a warmer climate, I have not spoken to anyone that actually has a 379FL and was just looking for any advice or things that you might suggest that we would want or need to get with our 379. Did you get the generator? Glad you like yours, I am getting so excited about starting our new adventure in our lives.

Why is a 1 ton diesel dully not capable of towing this trailer? I ask not being a smart a%%, I ask because we are looking at different fivers to change from our A diesel and this rig is on our list as well as the landmark 365 Newport and a DRV and we are looking at the new f350 DRW trucks.

Gross weight is 16000 and pin weight is 3200. Trailer is 42' long, definitely will max a F350. On the verge of Medium duty truck territory if you plan on fulltiming. Can't imagine an F250 but have seen people do it.

3,000 average dry pin weight on the 379FL is going to eliminate some tow vehicles. Not sure what the RAWR is on a Chevy 2500HD.

Not sure what the 2006 3500 tow specs were, but pretty sure if you look at the ratings for the 2015 F350 4x4 crew cab DRW that trialer falls well within limits just like the others I mentioned in my post.

Am I missing something?

Mrchips....that 379FL would be well within the limits of a 2015 F350 4x4 crew cab DRW.
