stabilizing a 5th wheel when parked

2023 Pinnacle 32RLTS. After our 8 week trip to Maine I need to add something to stop some of the shake. Wife has a TBI with vertigo after an incident involving a car driving into a restaurant. So I need to limit the shake as much as I can. I was looking at a friends 2014 Montana with these bars that go side to side and rearward on the front and side to side on the rear power jacks. But he has drop feet he drops then the auto level is used to level it and he tightens the bars. I have hydraulic rams with round pads and no drop feet. He used his Montana for 14 months while his house was rebuilt after Hurricane Michael and said the bars stop 90% of the shake. Can't find anything on the stabilizer bars for the hydraulic style jacks I have. I currently use the X bars between tires and a Tripod for the hitch. A slide out support under the slide her chair is on. I need to improve it as much as possible. Headed to Yellowstone and Grand Canyon for 10 weeks in late May where the mountain roads will be enough of a challenge for her. Can anyone share their ideas on how they stopped the rock? Yes she knows it will always have some shake, but I will do whatever it takes to limit the shake for her.

I installed Morryde xbrace and a generic brand of x-chocks. These 2 in combination get rid of 95% of the movement. The other popular product is the Lippert JT Strong Arm. I am sure one of these will work for you, but you will have to do some research. In my case I had to get rid of a battery box that extended through the floor to make clearance.

KirtS, I just installed a MORryde X Brace Hitch Mount Stabilizer yesterday. It mounts in the rear hitch receiver (if your rig has one installed). It made a definite improvement in movement reduction.
Our 5er has only 4 Hyd. jacks instead of the 6 which seem to be the norm now a days.
Next step will be the MORryde X Brace 5th-Wheel Stabilizer.
The links to each are below.

So that is what I have been observing at the RV park in other rigs. I was wondering what sort of gadget that was.

The JT Strongarm style can still work, but you will need to make sure it is loose before retracting the jacks. One way would be to install keeper pins and just remove the arms before retracting the jacks.

I haven't been able to find any JT Strongarms that will work with the hydraulics yet (I keep looking) but on our previous rig with manual pull down front jacks, I did have them on and they worked great along with the Xblocks and the triangle on the front pin. I tried using the slide stabilizers but had a bit of bad luck with them. We were staying for a good bit at a site and the rig settled and the stabilizers under the slide bent the slide slightly enough that it was a chore to get it to go in and out. It eventually did but I haven't used them since. Be careful with using the slide out stabizers if you stay long term somewhere.

SteadyFast is what I had on our Jayco. easy to install and they work. My current TH 5er doesn't shake but in addition to the 6pt auto level it has 2 additional rear electric stabilizer jacks. X-Chocks also will help.

Yes I have heard they will cause issues long term as the TT settles in. I usually set them very light on pressure and check them daily.

I did some looking today and found a video by Etrailers that shows them installing them on a 5th wheel TT. They have brackets that weld or bolt to the pad now. maybe this link

You do not have rear cross arms. How much do the rear arms help at that angle? I do like the idea because it looks like you can get to the t handles to tighten and loosen the arms slide bars.

One of the best things you can do to help eliminate camper shake is to shorten the distance the jacks have to be lowered. That means putting secure blocks under the jacks and build them up as tall as possible so when the jacks are extended they only have to extend a very, very short distance. But, you need a solid block under each jack. I carry several 6x6 chunks of wood, just for this purpose.
