Tank heater

Am I correct that ONLY the fresh water tank is heated? Reason being, my service panel has only one tank switch that says fresh water. If so, why wouldn’t gray and black be heated?

My last 5er , a four season unit ; the furnace duct work ran between the black and grey tanks and under the fresh ; to avoid any of the tanks from freezing .

Are you posting from a mobile device ; cell phone or iPad ?
Your signature line isn't showing and no info on your 5er ?

Year , make and model info on your RV will get better answers to your questions.

Yes, posting from I Phone. Trailer is an 2018 Glacier Peak, Mtn. Series. I’m in some cold and snowing weather at present, first time with the set up in these conditions. I have the fresh water tank heater on, and was quite curious why the other tanks aren’t heated🤷*♂️ and why wouldn’t they be?

On my 2017 ORV F26RLS, there is the 12v fresh water tank heater (switch is on the control panel), and the furnace is ducted into the underbelly for the black and grey tanks. The ducting is visible from the water pump area in the pass through. Just behind the pump, there are 3 flexible ducts going from the ridged heater duct into the underbelly. I would assume that your RKS is similar to my RLS in regards to tank heating arrangement. Hope that helps.

Guess that’s how they eliminate extra duct work or heat strips. Obviously it works as I’ve had no issue with tanks freezing. Thank you for the info.
