Toilet Burping

ok I have been dealing with a burping toilet when I flush all weekend and I'm at wits end. I have read several forums and tried everything I can think of. Though it was a clog building up in the blank tank. I flushed it for well over 30 minutes. From both the black tank flush and I also shoved a hose down the toilet into the tank and ran it. I gave the tank a good cleaning. That was yesterday evening. Wall was well until about 1 pm today, I flushed the toilet and the burp is back. The tank is def not full and I have been using a ton of water since I did the flush yesterday. Now I'm not leaning towards a blocked vent since I would think I would have had the problem continue even after my major flush job yesterday. So now I have no idea. Anyone have any ides for me?

Kozzy,

Did you try cleaning the vent from the roof down??
Get up in the roof and remove the cap and run a hose down...

Although I agree with you it is very easy to check the vent stack. I would do that before I did anything more extensive.

Unhappy

I visually checked the vent and it looks clear. I'm gonna run a hose down it now and see what happens

Burping is caused by no vent or not enough vent. Just pour water out of a bottle. It will burp with no vent.

I did forget get to mention that when I first got to my site this weekend, with an empty tank I added the chemical and a few gallons of water and that all backed up right into my toilet, that was the start of my problem, which leads me to think it really is not a vent issue. We noticed the burping starting on our trip last weekend. We dumped the tanks and flushed them on the way out of there. We were in myrtle beach in April, and had zero issues down there

That all sounds like the tank is full or you have a blockage. S this a new unit?

This is a new unit. We got it in August last summer used it on a handful of trips with no issues.
The tank is def not full. Whe. We got here they were empty and yesterday I drove to the dump station and flushed everything.
Today I also emptied half of it trying to fix the issue.
I do have young kids that I'm sure use too much paper and not enough water so a blockage is not out of the question. I'm just not sure how my flush job yesterday didn't get it all. I dumped and filled the tank twice, used the blank tank flush for at lest 10 mi Utes, and I also snaked a garden house down the toilet and ran it and had someone outside watch for stuff to come out. It was pretty thorough I think. It it is a blockage or pile it is a stubborned one. My pipe from the toilet to the tank has a 45 in it so I can't see directly into the tank and see what's up. I can tell that the. Net pipe is close to the toilet drain pipe, so if it is a good size pile in there it could very well be affecting the vent ing as well.

How about maybe the vent pipe slipped downward some and when the end of it gets submerged, it can't vent. Then you flush, adding volume and the only place to vent is the toilet...
That is all I can think of.

Wingnut I thought the same thing I went on the roof and took the vent cap off and tried to move the pipe up or down and it's pretty tight so I don't think it slipped but who knows. The unti is under warrantee but my dealer is 2 hours away. That's 4 hours of driving to drop it off and home then 4 back so I'm just trying to avoid that trip if I can.

Ok update I'm back home. Drove home with my black tank reading 3/4 full to slosh e dry thing around. When I got home and flushed the toilet, still had the burp. So I started with the vent. Used a pipe snake, went all the way into the tank loosely no issues, then I used a hose with running water, that went all the went into the tank, no problem so I'm pretty sure it is not the vent pipe. No sings of it sliding into the tank. It is tight and won't move up or down.

Next into the bathroom i snaked the toilet, and dumped 2 buckets of water , 5 gallons each , down the toilet. Also snaked the garden hose down the toilet with the nozzle on high pressure well into the tank( might I add that my drain pipe is not straight into the tank, it has a 45 degree angle.

Well after that the tank is not reading full, and still burping.
Later today or tomorrow I'm going to go dump it and fill the tank and empty it a few times , and flush the hell out of it....

Any one have any other suggestions I should do?

I watched that you tub video and while I don't do it exactly the same way, I am pretty damn close to his way. I also use scott tissue. Have always used it for my 15 plus years of camping and never had any issues. Maybe I should switch to the RV paper?
