Hey JRS... I got the cover installed Friday night, so just a couple days on it. I love the look of the cover... it disappears, and is so flat, I love that.

It sits really low to the bed rails, so it barely clears my auxiliary fuel tank... in fact the one cross bow sits on the lid of the tank slightly.

Only thing that raised an eyebrow for me is how it meets the tailgate at the rear... it does not sit on top of the tailgate, rather buts up against it with a rubber flap seal... not gonna be water tight, I can't imagine, which is ok for me, but I was a bit surprised.

Hooking up the 5er this week... sure hope I measured right and the rails clear the pinbox... they do stick into the bed a good ways!

Put the tailgate up and THEN close the cover. The seal comes down and covers the gap nicely. I thought the same thing you did, but then read the instructions

Instructions? LOL... but I am an engineer! Ha ha, guess I should try that! Thanks for the tip.

For those wondering, I did hook up the 5er last night and drug it out of the shed... no issues with rails hitting the pin box... I suppose if I were turned sharp and backing thru a ditch they could hit, but realistically I think it will be fine.

I will not be towing a 5th wheel. I need to change my avatar as the Dually truck and 5th wheel are gone gone gone.

I slightly prefer a cap, the DW wants the tonneau cover. I can live with either. The cover will be used to create storage for camping stuff.

I've got a standard roll up cover on my new to me truck. No issues with clearance. The only issue I have is I need more weight up front to level out the trailer. Just a little off from the old truck.
