I have the BD3 and the BD5 is put together in the same manner. The hitch head is quite heavy and it is removeable making is manageable. The 5 has one more airbag and I'm sure a bit heavier but is still disassembled just like the 3.
In case you have not seen this video on the 3 watch it and it will give you an idea of how it comes apart.

Who is going to help me install a single piece BD5?
I use a $99 Harbor Freight ceiling hoist in my garage for my BD5. I also used it for my BD3. WAY faster and zero lifting. I just back the truck in, lift the hitch out and drop it onto a furniture dolly and roll the hitch into the corner of my garage. Nothing to disassemble. Takes 5 minutes.

Backordered as well. Ordered a Trailersaver, they think they can get it there on time.

There's a decision you won't regret.

I have a TS3 and love the way the rig rides. Can't go wrong with a TrailerSAver.

Excellent! You won't be disappointed in the hitch or the tech support IF you need it.
Did you get the 3 or 5?

Have a deposit on a 2016 Fullhouse JX450. Hopefully it lives up to pictures and description.

I love my BD5-G. I raised the hitch one notch and dropped the air bags to about 65 lbs, and I'm getting a better ride. You might have to experiment with how much air to run in the 3 bags. Oh yes, I don't remember how much discount I got but they give one around Xmas. Maybe for the 4th as well.

I got free shipping, that's the only discount they gave.
