TrailerSaver BD5 inflation/deflation

We upgraded to a TrailerSaver BD5 several months ago. No long trips yet but it has made a difference where we’ve towed it. One issue I had from day 1 was how to add air. The Schrader valve is on the side of the hitch and kind of low. Once the fifth wheel is attached it’s hard to get to.

I ordered some Flexx-Air valve stem extensions for the inner tires on the DRW and the quality is amazing. I looked at their site and found they make a 39” extension so I ordered one. It’s perfect and makes inflation or deflation so much easier, especially when coupled with my Rigid inflator.

Nice idea. Do you deflate your hitch for hooking and unhooking? I inflate my TS3 to the line at the beginning of my towing year and it will hold that air all season. I do carry my Makita cordless inflator in case I need more air for extra bedrail clearance during unique situations.

I don’t but like the ability to adjust if I want to.
