Trouble with Dometic 310 Toilet

Our toilet will not fill when pedal pushed half way down as instructed? Push it all the way and it flushes and trys to fill with water while open? Also, noticed pump does not kick on when flushing. Is this normal? Help

Welcome to irv2.
Your pump needs to be on or you are hooked up to city water.
You should have a indicator light in a display area to say its on.
Each bathroom will have a switch to put pump on and your display area also.
With the pump off you will only get momentary flow of water until pressure in pipes is released in your water system.
You also will need water in fresh water tank for pump to flush water.
Instructions say only push pedal down 1/4 the way to fill bowel than all the way down to flush.
If you check items mention should work for you.

Dometic 310

We are having major pedal problems with our 310, it was still in warranty (2 yrs) and when I called Dometic (Sealand) they sent me a new 310 toilet. Hopefully this will solve the problem.
Every time I would attempt to fill the toilet the door would open and and drain into the tank. Had to empty the tank many times this past winter because of the water than drained into it.
Hopefully the new one will solve the problem.

we actually have a brand new 310 in the garage too
when we first got the rv it was SO sensitive that just a little movement would flush instead of fill...

move it any more than 1/16" and it opened - called them and they sent me a new one the next day...

BUT, I never wanted THAT replacement job, so it's still sitting in the box in the garage

trading the rv in on new one so don't need it any more...
