TV in bedroom

In my 2011 Jayco Eagle the bedroom TV is a small square screen mounted on a door above the combo washer. It’s too small to enjoy watching a movie and I’d like to have a significantly larger one. Have any creative ideas on how to mount a 30 - 40 inch flatscreen over a window and not block the narrow walkway at the foot of the bed?

I had something similar done in our Bounder. The bedroom didn't need something as big as a 30-40" TV. Put in a 26". https://www.irv2.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=1250

My current TV looks like your new one. I’d like to go bigger and with the new 16:9 ratio. If I watch a movie on a square screen it wastes lots of screen on the top and bottom and the picture is quite small from 8 feet away.

A TV half the distance away will look twice as large. If you are able to find a way to mount it closer to you, you won't need as large a unit.

I knew an older couple who a long living room and spent a lot on one of the first big screen tvs at one end 2 recliners at the other end. I convinced them to move the TV closer and they were dumbfounded how great it looked.

In my change out, I went from a 13" CRT to a 26" LED. I don't know how big the OP's bedroom is, but a 26" was plenty big enough in mine. Even with the bedroom slide deployed, the head of the bed was less than 9.5ft from the TV screen that was hung on the opposing wall.
