Typical MSRP discount for new 5th wheel?

Hello all. What is the typical discount (from MSRP) when purchasing a new 5th wheel.

I understand the discount increases as time passes but I'm unsure what to expect for a 2025.

Thanks much!

MSRP (MFg SUGGEST Retail Price) is an arbitrary number

Internet search what a particular Year/Brand/Model is being advertised for

Check JD Powers suggested value

Then use that info as a negotiating tool.........dealer have what you are interested in make an offer based on 'info you have researched'

30%, 35% off MSRP sounds like a deal.......but is it what units are selling for??

Thanks Biscuit. I settled for 32% off a new one coming off the production line. Feels like a good deal but after buying several of these things over the years, it seems that one never really knows.

I appreciate your response!

After attending the RV show here in Mobile al. I took note of the huge discount marked on EVERY single unit. I wondered how this could be, and then noted the bottom of the line pin box, cheapest tires ever and the manufacture probably buys thousands of these so they get them even cheaper. No slide awnings, one standard sewage hose, short power cord, and the cutest little water hose, one Propane bottle (small). Washer and dryer hook ups but units not included.

no sewar ramp supports. no jack pads. those items all add up and are available to the new owner at extra cost. Now if you already have a camper I suppose you can park side by side and outfit new unit.

Hi Joe, which unit are you referencing?

Angela, what fifth wheel did you settle on and order? Just curious.
Congratulations.
Thanks,

Hello High Road. I was going after the Z3100 but ended up with the Grand Design Solitude 310GK. Identical floor plans but we liked the new 2025 colors in the Grand Design a bit more, and that model has been in the wild for about a decade so GD had some time to redesign the kinks out (hopefully). But I would have been happy with either unit.

We looked at the Solitude also when shopping. It was a close call. Happy camping.

Hi Angela.

In Canadian prices a 2025 GD Solitude 310gk was listed at $180,000 msrp. A few weeks later it was on ‘sale’ for $132,000 so you’re 32% discount, I think, is pretty good.

Thanks Kola. Thats $126,000 and $92,400 US respectively...thats about 26% discount without any sales games and negotiations. I wonder how low they'll go if they're offering that price upfront.

I appreciate the reply.
