Upgrades steamrolling

Well, we have started upgrading some items on our rig. The main awning replacement fabric is arriving today and will installed hopefully next week. Will be ordering replacement slide toppers next week and replace those myself when they come in. As in thread in RV systems, upgraded the air circulation fan on the back of the refrigerator with two fans this week. Still have several projects to get done before we head for Missouri in March. Would like to thank all those on here that encourage owners to tackle some of the repairs, etc themselves. I know here is north Florida, a service call is 100-150 dollars and the hourly labor is 140+, so a simple repair can cost 300 dollars. I am not made of money, so every dollar saved is a good thing..

Good stuff!
If you haven't already adding a fan inside the fridge helps it tremendously.
The fins don't get frosted up as much and fridge temp stays more consistent.

Also good to see an owner take on upgrades first hand. I am a stickler for sweat equity and like you, no money trees around here. My propane side of our water heater went out last summer and ran on electric the rest of the season. I replaced the thermostat, the thermo coupler to no avail. Next is the motherboard this spring, working from lowest costs on up. It'll feel good once I get it back in action. Enjoy your improvements and your trip to Missouri.

You'll save a lot of money by not guessing. Search Old Biscuit's posts, he'll steer you right to the problem.
