If you have any mechanical knowledge and can read manuals then you should be good to go. I did purchase some books when I got back into pulling a trailer in 2006 and I still have them. I still refer to one the RV and Repair Maintenance by Bob Livingston. I think this is out of print now and hasn't been updated since the late 90's.
I would go online and look at what is available to purchase and if you want to purchase any.
