Waste Tank Controls

Every time I try to empty my Black and Grey tanks it seem that it is getting harder to pull the handles out..Have a CC 29RE..2014
Any comments appreciated...solutions etc.......

I would try and lube the rods that slide in and out on the fasteners that retain the pull out handle in the service bay. This may help a little. I would use a dry silicone spray that will not leave a sticky residual behind.

I know from past design experience; push pull cables do become encumber with dirt on the cable, between the cable and housing. This was always a problem with push-pull cables.

You may also want to remove the underside panel and see if you can lubricate the cable going to the gate valve.

I would also ask this question in the forest River Forum someone may have already figured out a solution to your issues.

Check out this video. I did the procedure on another trailer I owned, it worked well. New trailer completely sealed where the valves are.

This would not work on the Cedar Creek models since they have a seal under belly.

Cut a 3 sided flap.....then seal up with Gorilla tape
