Ok, I am revisiting this topic. I have a valve to drain the grey and black tanks, but how do I drain the fresh water tank when I need to? Do you just pump it out?

There will be a separate drain valve for the fresh tank. It will be near the tank, not anywhere in your wet bay.

I can't get to my tanks, they are under the floor and the underside of the RV is sealed as well. I do have a low water drain for hot and cold in the wet bay, will they drain the fresh water tank? I apologize for not having read yet the suitcase full of manuals that came with the RV.

I'm confused. You have a brand spanking new 5th wheel. Read the manual.

there will be a white gate valve underneath by itself below the tank. it will be visible outside most likely. probably close to water tank overflow drain tube.

Found them. There was a white overflow tube and next to it was the drain valve. It was left in the open position by the dealer. Started filling the fresh tank and looked for the water pouring out.

I don't know about his RV but my 2018 Keystone Manual was garbage. It was so basic that they use the same manual for most of their models. Almost useless.

Guess you have found the tank drain....probably a real slowww process using the drain valve. If you want to hasten the draining, just pump it thru a faucet in to the grey tank and out the drain. Or, use the outside shower hose and pump to the ground.

We travel with about 1/3 tank of fresh water. And this is just for emergency uses like flushing the toilet on the road or the park not having water to use. Don't laugh it has happened to us 3 times in our 10 years of full timing. A power outage turned off the park water once and a broken pipe turned it off twice.
Now our water pump gets exercised more often than it gets used to actually provide water for usage. And yes the pump should be exercised. I had one fail because it had been so long since it was used that it rusted up and seized.
Now about draining the fresh water tank. Open the valve and walk away. It will get empty in an hour or so.
