Water Pump
looking for some wisdom.
i have a 2010 Cougar 29' 5th Wheeler. the water pump makes some terrible noises when i turn it on.
i want to check it out but i have no idea where to find it. sounds like it is on the same side of the rig as the kitchen sink, the toilet, and the fridge.
in a prior rig(an older Class A)i found it under the bed in the rear.
can somebody point me in the right direction as to where it mite be located?

Follow the sound.......... water pump makes some terrible noises should be fairly easy to locate
Inside kitchen sink cabinet?
Where do you fill fresh water tank at...look inside opposite of that general area. Water pumps are close by fresh water tank

water tank is on the opposite side, rear corner. the rig still has the original bottom seal/closure(?) on it intact. hoping to not need to disturb that if possible. any chance the pump is located under the floor between the frame rails somewhere?

I know a Class C is a whole different animal, but the fresh water tank and water pump are under the bed in our Minnie Winnie.
Water pumps are rather noisy in normal operation, but ours is quite a bit louder when run dry. I discovered this while winterizing our rig yesterday. The jug of RV antifreeze emptied quicker than I expected it to.

They are mounted on rubber isolaters that fall apart and then they are pretty loud.

Water tank fill can be on curbside with tank mounted between frame rails and water pump pickup tube on roadside
Follow the noise before pump gets quiet

i believe my tank is over where the filler spout is.the bottom of it the drain plug is right below the floor in the same spot.
but i agree, with the bottom covered up, it could be anywhere.
i didn't know about the rubber mounts falling apart.

I have a 2004 HR presidential and my pump was making noise. The owners manual said it was beside hot water tank but guess what ?? I followed the noise and it was behind the city water hookup behind a wall with no access I read some about some manufacturers that sometimes put them wherever they have room. There was a propane alarm there along the floor that I could take the screws out and look. Guess what ?? there it was. I cut a good size opening in the paneling and removed and found the 4 screws that hold it down were loose. It was back in there pretty far so I purchased some water lines andmoved it closer for better access in the future

The water pump in our Winnie Minnie was placed in a nearly impossible position to access, like to clean the screen bowl. When I replaced the pump a couple of years back I moved it to a better position and added a better mount for sound damping.
Those that assemble most RVs never try to service them. A few are better layed out with service in mind.
