Water Pump Failing?

So, I use the toilet and stand on the pedal for a few seconds to flush. The pump kicks on and takes roughly 10-12 seconds to replenish and turn off. Does this seem excessive? And, if so, does it mean my pump is failing? Is this a way they fail? 4 year old trailer - original pump.

That does sound a bit longer than my trailer which I never timed but would guess is 3 to 7 seconds to build up pressure and shut off.

How long does the water pump run after you shut off the kitchen faucet?

About an 8 count... the flow and pressure and everything seem normal, just longer than usual to turn off.

Have you been in the RV awhile or did you just start using it again and just fill up the water recently?

If you just filled it with water I would suspect air in the system and or in the top of the water heater.

You might check the pump inlet screen.

Has it been that way all along or did it start taking a long time to reach cut-off pressure recently?

I just solved this issue on my trailer, it was the strainer on the pump inlet screen was plugged up.

I've owned the trailer since new and it just started doing this. I'll check the screen. Also thinking of just grabbing a new pump since 4 years on anything mechanical in these things seems like a gift. Thanks for all the ideas... I'll report back when I get it figured out.
