Width of 5th wheel

I just ordered a new Vilano and noticed the width is 101" rather than 96" like my current trailer. Does anyone have experience going up to a wider trailer? I have considered what it might be like dealing with the additional length but have no idea if the extra width is a big concern. Thoughts.

You won’t even notice the difference going down the road. Though you will notice a little when inside it which is a good notice.

It's only 2.5" per side. I'd LOVE to have a wide body. I am more concerned with the super wide mirrors some trucks have. I now have to fold the mirrors on most trucks just to fit them between the lift posts in my shop, it's getting ridiculous. I see and hear of more "mirror hits" than ever before.

Agree with others. You don't really see the difference when towing. You will be line to line on some 2 lane roads, but I felt like that was true with 96" too.

I would not give it a second thought,, but we also full time and our only vehicle is a 3500 DRW that is 8' wide at the hips, so an every day thing.

My only complaint is the mirrors on my 2013 Chevy 3500 aren't quit wide enuf for me to see down the side of the trailer. It's not a big deal, just a minor annoyance.

Even when they are extended?

I'm sure I'd barely notice an extra 2.5" (per side) with my 2011. Mirrors extend plenty for my use.

i can saying going to a widebody was tough as my factory GM HD mirrors do not extend far enough for a decent view. i ended up installing sideview cameras to help me. im ok now

Since I can't see my hitch, I use my truck's fenders on the dually to to align up on the sides of my 8' wide trailer. This easily centers my pin in my hitch. In a heartbeat, I would cope or find a different solution for 5 more inches of interior space. You're going to like that trailer.
