So, in Central Oregon we need to winterize before storing for the winter. While I've done this myself with past RVs, the past two years I've let the dealership do it & refill propane tanks before putting into storage. Took it out of storage and getting ready for our first trip today & went to put the anode rod back into the water heater and discovered it was still in. I took it out and found out the water heater was full. They neglected to drain the water heater! If you live somewhere that gets below freezing in winter you know what this could mean.

Fortunately no damage. Apparently I need to start doing it myself again. Lesson learned.

No offense to the good dealers out there, your post is why I do all of my own maintenance and repairs. I am fortunate to have the skills to do this.
The only exception is warranty items that require parts approvals prior to the work starting. Structural repairs fall under this.

Dealers have their place, but education (sure, you can tow this with that) and some basic servicing issues (when they are slammed at the beginning or end of a season) may not be their forte.

So sad! I would say something to the dealer, but likely they would deny what they did after being stored for so long! I took mine in for warranty work, returned home after the 3 hour drive only to find something they broke while they were working on it! Not driving back. They are no different as to most other kinds of dealers as to maybe why I have the opinions of dealers I do..
