2" to 2 1/2" hitch

My truck has a 2" hitch receiver. The WD hitch is for a 2 1/2". Does anyone know of a product allowing me to connect the two?

I know there are sleaves for going from a larger hitch receiver to a smaller hitch, but I need to go the other way.

Like this, but for the larger sizes?

Would think if the existing receiver could handle the weight & stress a 2 1/2 hitch would produce the receiver would be 2 1/2.

Sorry, this is a bad idea. You really don't want to put a load that needs a WD hitch back another 8 or 10" just to make this work. Plus, it will introduce lots of slop.

2 ways to play it:
A-Contact the WD hitch manufacturer to see if they have a 2" center section/shank available.
B-Replace current 2" vehicle hitch with correct 2.5" hitch.

Option A will be your cheapest option if it is feasible, I was able to get a 2.5" center/shank section for our E2 trunnion hitch. I got sick of the reducer and its not a great idea to use one on a WD set up anyway. I think it ran me $120.00.

What kind/brand of hitch? the shanks are virtually all interchangeable as far as hole spacing, You just need a very common two inch shank to attach the head of your hitch to. Sell the other one, the 2½ inch shank models are hard to get, friend of mine waited for weeks for one from Etrailer, ended up ordering from a different source and still took a while.

Blue Ox, Equal-i-zer, Reese, all of them have shanks that will work.

I think I can help you out. I have a pretty new equalizer 2” and I just got a ram 2500. I just bought a 2.5” shank for it. So my 2” That came with it is now going to the garage graveyard. I can sell you mine. It’s for the equalizer 10k. Stock size. 7 rise 3 drop I believe. Where are you located?
