You can use this chart to find the tow spec of your truck
http://www.wilkinsrv.com/PDFs/2008TowGuide.pdf
The GCWR (loaded truck and trailer) is your A#1 concern. Load rating info can be found on the driver door.

Search "2008 Chevy Tow Ratings" to get more info.

I've been told I can give customer service at Ford my VIN # to get my info.

Had a 99 GMC 1500 same engine and pulled a 22' Nash TT everywhere out west.

You'll do just fine!!!

I towed a Rockwood 2604 TT 6300 lbs loaded for travel with a 2008 Silverado 1500 4X4 5.3 with 3.73 rear. Truck weighed 6200 lbs loaded for travel. I towed this rig for 8000 miles with no problems before moving to a motorhome. I found the best gear for towing the TT to be 3rd gear with Tow/Haul on running 87 octane. Be carefull in the midwest some stations sell 85 octane. I filled up in north Texas with 85 and the truck ran like a dog. I used a 10,000 lb Equalizer hitch with built in sway control, which I need to sell. I also changed the OEM receiver hitch to a class V, which I need to sell. Not for weight carring but because I could feel the OEM receiver hitch flexing. With the class V no flexing.
I hope this helps, good luck.

With electric brakes and a WD Hitch you will be just fine. You will know she is there in the hills, but will do just fine
