2011+ Jeep Grand Cherokee

Hello, I have been doing a little looking and playing with the idea of getting a used 2011 Grand Cherokee. It would be a V6. I would like 4x4 but have found alot of nice 2wds as well. So I may go 2wd. I only have a pop up so weight is not really a concern. Most of the ones I have looked at do not have trailer hitches. I have looked and adding the hitch is no big deal. However I am wondering the best way to go about doing the wiring. I deffinately want to have the round 7 pin connection and possibly a flat 4. I see the harnesses and how they work, but just wondering any suggestions or experiences. Also (not that they are needed for a popup) but are the new GC's compatable for plugging in a brake controller like most newer trucks (my f150) or is there wiring required like the older jeeps ?

Thanks Alot

I would be careful about considering used JC 4x2s, as rental companies purchase a lot of them. Of course a Carfax report will give you that information.

I agree bob. A lot of them either were rentals or come off leases. I am ok with that. As most of them only have in the 20 k mile range and it would be getting a through look over first. But I deffinately agree with you on that. Might try to find a 4x4.
