2015 jeep grand cherokee toad light hookup

Hello , I am wondering if I can hook into the fuse panel of the grand cherokee that I am pulling behind my motorhome. Instead of running new wiring all the way to the tail lights of vehicle? thanks!

You could do that if you obtained a wiring diagram to locate the correct wires. Your Jeep uses a TIPM, Totally Integrated Power Module and I didn't make that up! TIPM is under the hood and contains fuses, relays and electronics in a sealed module. You cannot tap into it directly and that's where the diagram comes in.

If you release the TIPM from it's bracket there are many wire harness plugs underneath that connect all the circuits. You will need to identify the wires that leave the TIPM going to the taillights and turn/brake signals. Splice in Roadmaster diodes to prevent feedback and attach your tow light wiring.

Room is at a premium under the TIPM. You may need to bring wires out to hookup the diodes if not enough space is available.

Not a job for the faint at heart. Be comfortable with reading schematics and soldering / heat shrinking wires. The TIPM is near the battery, so a corrosive environment. Connections need to be sealed well.

Don't blame you. Easier in the long run to use more wire getting to the rear. You did use diodes, I assume. Feedback can be bad.

Several of the Wiring companies have plug and play harnesses for Jeeps. Just pull the back connection apart and put in their insert and all works. I am not home where I left my notes on this but I think Reese was one of them. I am getting a new Jeep Gladiator next Fall and plan to do it this way.
Lots of info about this on IRV and jeep sites if you do a search.
