2018 Ram 2500 HD 6.7 wrong owner's manual??

Hello,

Got our new 2500HD CC 6.7 last week and the owner's manual does not cover the 6.7 TD engine.

The packet containing the owner's manual, warranty info and Sirius radio info was still sealed in the original plastic wrap, but the manual inside covers 1500, 2500 and 3500 trucks with gasoline engines, but nothing at all about the 6.7 TD.

I looked thru the FCA Tech Authority web site and found that they do have a diesel supplement owner's manual for $37, but that manual was not included with my new truck.

Anyone else get a new Ram 6.7 without a diesel owner's manual?

I don't think I should have to pay for the correct owner's manual.

Well, I'm in same boat, almost. I've gotten no manuals. Been back into dealer 3x since purchase, which is an hour drive, and asked every time. Always with the "We'll order and have them shipped to you" response. No, you shouldn't have to pay for the supplement

I'm not sure about dodge. maybe they do what ford does and there is a separate manual supplement just for diesel engines.
Ford has done this for decades.

I was on the Customer advisory board for Chrysler back in 2008. I remember the company saying they wanted to do away with printed owners manuals. and go to a CD format. To save Money,...of course.

Owners manual doesnt contain much anymore. Look on your U Connect. It has all the info on there.

No more than the device to store and read it on. Here we all are, using the internet, and ...

I downloaded and read both owner's manuals (including the diesel supplement) before I even bought the truck.

I can understand the cost saving move to an electronic pdf manuals, and in that case they should not provide any manual at all.
Giving me a manual that I can't use is dumb and very wasteful IMO.

I know how to use U Connect, but I want a hard copy I can keep in the glove box.

Call the salesperson you dealt with when buying the truck and tell them you want a hard copy of diesel supplement. Starting tomorrow AM

Then call them again next AM and the next AM and the next AM etc
Sooner or later they will send one JUST stop you from calling

OR....download the pdf & print it out booklet form

The OP has what they need, but not what they want. Interesting.

My 2012 Ram 2500 CTD came with a DVD for the diesel maintenance part. Is Ram still doing the DVD thing in 18?
My 2018 6.4 just has a manual.
