2020 Chevy 1500 (3.0L Diesel) standard mirrors with cameras

Good day y'all. I am in the process of purchasing a 2020 Chevy 1500 3.0L diesel and I wanted to hear from you guys that have the technology package if the standard mirrors with cameras will cover the side of an 8ft wide camper. I know they work great for a 7ft trailer, but I will tow a 2017 Jayco Whitehawk 28dsbh. Thanks for the responses. Oh, there does not seem to be a TOW mirror replacement once the standard mirrors are installed. Possible harness issues to get the cameras to work with the invisible trailer camera as well. Just curious what to expect.

Sorry no help with your stock Chevy mirrors but towing our 25' Winnebago (8' wide) with our F-150 is doable with my stock mirrors but I wouldn't do it all the time. I do have clamp on extension mirrors that I use when we are actually on a trip and I wouldn't want to be backing into sites without them.

The only time I don't bother with the extended mirrors is when collecting the trailer from the storage lot and bringing it home to pack etc. and that's a simple 5 mile drive.

I can see down beside the trailer with the stock mirrors if adjusted properly and I lean my head to which ever side but I wouldn't want to be changing lanes or driving on busy multi lane roads with the stock mirrors. Sorry, probably not what you want to hear, but is the reality of using mirrors that are not as wide as what you're towing behind your truck.

These are the clamp on extended mirrors I use, they show them as available for your truck...

If you are buying the truck new I would ping the about swapping out current mirrors with towing mirrors. I dont know if those have cameras but it is always an option. When I purchased my truck many moons ago, I wanted the towing mirrors and told them that was part of the deal, and they did it...

Thanks y'all. I kinda figured that would be the response. Im currently in a Chevy Colorado diesel and I have extenders for my mirrors. I was just hoping that the wider 1500 and slightly bigger standard mirrors might get it done, especially with the cameras. Time will tell. Again, thank you! Maybe someone with the camera system will give me some good news. Lol!

Must be a regular cab, A longer truck seems to give better views. I had to use extenders when I pulled mine with my wifes Tacoma, but didn't need them with my 2011 1500 extended cab Silverado. Don't know if the 2020 is narrower, or has smaller mirrors, But the 2020 HD crew cab I have now has extendable mirrors, but I have never needed to extend them. And my camper is 8' wide.

when I had a '17 sierra ccsb I bought a set of clip on extension mirrors that looked pretty good when on there and added enough mirror to see down the side of our 8' wide camper. only about 60$.
