2022 F350 6.7l Cruise drops out...
Is there any known issues? Pulling my TT on this trip my CC will suddenly drop out. Sometimes won't allow me to turn back on for a minute or so. Not particularly too hilly but some. But last year to Alaska, CC never dropped. It's under warranty but if it's simple, I'll take care of it.
Thanks.

This is the first time I've heard of this issue but if you post it on the Ford truck enthusiast forum in the Super Duty 2017 and up section I bet somebody has an answer for you, or at least a similar issue.

Just WAG, check your 7 pin connections. I would clean both sides and try to ensure you have a tight fit. I would bet you are getting a tiny bit of back feed and your cruise control thinks you are putting on the brakes.

I've not heard of it but ditto on the recommendation to post it on FTE site.
I recently did a 3,000 mile trip towing but I never tried cruise control.

Ford cruise control will drop out if you loose 10 mph while set.
Next hill keep an eye on the speedo while heading up a hill.

That makes sense though with 475hp and 1,050ft lbs, my truck has zero problem maintaining any posted speed up any grade with my 10,000 lb trailer behind.....but maybe the OP is hauling a 30,000 lb trailer...

I have the same truck in a 2021 model year, towing 17,000lbs. It downshifts but does not lose speed going uphill on 6-8% grades. I don’t use the CC much when towing but it has never kicked off while using it.

I just pulled 1800 miles with my 13,500 lb 41 foot fifth wheel behind me. I had the cruise control set 85% of the time. It never dropped out on any hills. I did force it to drop out when I passed a truck and I guess was over 10 MPH set. My truck has no issues maintaining speed on any hill.

I had a similar issue on a MH but on a GM chassis. It turned out to be a loose brake light switch. After securing, never occurred again.

My Ford would 1st increase turbo boost then downshift. It was only a 6 speed so this usually kicked off the cruise control.
I did not use cruise going thru the mountains from Ohio to Pennsylvania on route 70 east or west. Also on rt 22 there were mountains that would make the cruise control kick off.
Good point about what is being towed. If 30,000lbs I would think that would kick off cruise control sooner than towing a 10,000 lb trailer going up hill.

Thanks guys.
I'm only towing 8000 pounds and it drops off sometimes going on flat land. Last year on Alaskan trip, it never happened.

Had same random CC issue on 2019 F350. When I pulled up on the brake pedal the cruise would always work immediately. If I did not pull up on the brake pedal CC would eventually work on its own.
While under warranty, Ford dealer did not find anything clearly wrong and got Ford factory approval to replace assembly to make sure problem was fixed. CC has always worked for the six months and 3000 miles since.

Sounds like something is wrong and you need to get this fixed while under warranty. There might even be a TSB by now.
Good luck

Yep; no reason for that to happen
