My 2017 3.5 EB started over heating pulling my TT. Did a little searching and dealer in Flagstaff admitted that pulling relatively heavy loads up sustained grades the 3.5 EB would overheat. The dealer said a bad radiator was the culprit. At 40k miles. Not happy to spend $1100 out of pocket. Supposedly this issue was eliminated with 2018s.

Skip to the 11:00 minute area. This vid just released and is a review on his 1 year old powerboost/ecoboost.

We can do this all day... for every video on the net there is another saying the opposite.

I have towed heavy with both 2.7 and 3.5's in 100+ heat and never had a temp issue.

Define "overheating". To me that means pushing 240F and blowing coolant out of the system.

when I had the Hemi it would run hot (218F) , but wouldn't overheat. From everything I read that was normal for the hemi.

Same here. I tow 8000 all summer every summer and in 100+ ambient temps (even hotter coming off the asphalt) up and down mountains and as fast as I want and the engine or tranny has never even thot about getting too warm.
