2500-3500 Chevy/GMC bumper grill insert for Durumax xmission cooler

Have anyone use the bumper grill insert while towing with the 2015-20 with a durumax diesel. I have a 2019 2500 Chevy Z71 4wd

I am curious on why you need the cooler. I had a '16 2500 Dmax 4x4 pulling a 10K trailer. A number of times I towed in the Mojave desert up and down the hills between Barstow and Las Vegas with temps of 100*+. The highest tranny temp I saw was when I passed someone at 70 mph, it went to 200* from the 190* it had been running at. Slowed back down after the pass, and temps dropped back down.

Are you asking about your 2019 or also the 2020?

Those are two different trucks and my understanding is the 2020 truck has much more cooling capacity than the 2019 truck.

I would not add anything to the 2020 truck.

I put one on my 2015 Silverado before our trip to Alaska in 2019 simply because I didn't want any rocks to be thrown into that cooler. thought it would protect it from that and it did, should have bought one for my windshield! Some people have worried that it might restrict airflow and cause raised temps in tranny fluid, but mine never got above 200, even after we were home and pulling the 5th wheel and boat. I got the black one and it looks factory in place, very easy to install. Got it on amazon

I bought a 2018 GMC with the inserts in the grill and in front of that cooler and I will be watching this thread. There is still snow on the ground here. I had a 2005 Chev Duramax and had to take all the inserts off.

Running a 2019, although I'm northern, I pull down to Phoenix and back in march/may. Installed one (lower grill) and never noticed any issues with temp. Did pick up a good size dent in it thou. Paid for.

I got this one. You gave a choice of Duramax or Denali writing.

Took me about 15 minutes to install it.
