3.0L Duramax / Impressions

Anyone have a Silverado/Sierra with a 3.0l Duramax and the 10-Speed? Or spent any time in the seat with one? If so, please post thoughts and impressions, likes, dislikes, etc. I am hearing good things, but more data is better. Thanks.

A rubber v belt running wet in oil to drive the oil pump doesn't give me a good feeling.

Projected life of 150K mi, probably won't make 100K. Transmission has to come out to replace the belt. Not sure whose bright idea that was but somebody should slap them sideways a few times.

Thanks for the input. I have read about that potential issue, but I am really more interested in real-world performance and how it drives, tows, etc.

3 owner I have talked to claim 30MPG. for 2021 the cost of the engine option is cheap , less then the 2020 trucks! GM needs fuel mileage credits with the EPA for there SUV lines.

I just went truck shopping with my sister and she just picked up a Silverado with 3.0l Duramax and the 10-speed. I gotta say it is an impressive powertrain. Gobs of torque and super quiet and smooth.
