I'm thinking of possibly installing a new muffler on my 2004 6.0 Powerstroke. Recently I had a buddy install a Walker BTM p/n 21470 on a 7.3 and he is very impressed with the performance/price and sound. Have not seen much on the 6.0. Has anybody installed one or have suggestions? I don't want to spend a ton of money on the expensive exhaust systems but would not mind a throatier sound, increased performance and/or better gas mileage.
Superchip??? Worth the money or not? Trying to get better fuel milage without spending a fortune.
Also, Ford for some reason decided to do away with the stadard fuel/water seperator drain valve that you only need your fingers to open. Now I have to carry around a 6 mm allen wrench. Does anybody know if they make a valve that I can install on my truck where I do not need any tools?

Sorry I can't find how to edit the previous post but here are the part #s...again you will need to say it is for a 650 medium duty truck.
Ford part number: 6E7Z-9C082-A
International part number: 2589259C91

Do the math. $1200 / 2 miles a gallon savings. It'll be about a three or four year payback. Not really worth installing a chip enhancement (or reprogrammer). The muffler, maybe, because it's a small expense and you need one anyway. Changing pipes isn't worth it much either. Too long of a payback.
Just leave 5 minutes earlier and drive a bit more effeciently. You'll get instant payback and less hassle with traffic.

plus we put on a MBRP 4" exhuast , kept the cat on and we gained a 200F drop in exhaust temps. its not loud or obnoxious,
