most all of the aftermarket stuff out there is junk and will cause you problems ,

the k&n filters are some of the worst, along with the other intake systems( i have a 6.0 05 ford in my shop now that sucked water and bent all the rods because of the aftermarket intakes ),--

i see more problems with aftermarket hang on goodies than i care to note .

On a diesel, I think most people who benefit from an aftermarket filter are folks who have added more fuel (chip, plate, whatever) and need more air flow to keep exhaust temps in the safe range.

Personally, I'm going to leave my truck (mostly) stock, and not have anything to argue about if there were ever a warranty issue... </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

These new Ford air filters must be really something. I was in buying one (Fram) for my '01 Ford and happened to see the listing for the 05-06 models and there was one in front of me on the shelf, 60 PLUS DOLLARS!!!

An air cleaner element, jeeeeeezzzzzz.
