I just saw the gmc on instagram. Imo, it looks alot like an f150. Thats not a complaint, i like the fords alot, just an observation from the pics i saw. That tailgate looks really awesome and i hope theyve done something with it to make it theft resistant.

Funny you say that...at 1st glance I too thought it was a Ford. Is it the smaller 'C' type headlights?

We made it!!! That is to 1,000 ft. lbs. of torque out of the new CGI block Cummins motor in the newest 2019 Ram truck.

Who needs a 2020?

8 sp tranny in mated to the 6.4, No 5.7 anymore in the 2500-3500. The 6.4 with the new 8 sp tranny should be a sweet towing truck.

I watched the Ram introduction video. New chassis and and a lot of talk about refinement.

Tow rating of 35,100 lbs. And over 7,000lbs of cargo!!!

GMC always has a better looking front end, also they have a few more standard options than a Chevy.

Larry is right, I was thinking the Ram Banshee 7.0 litre would be available at the Detroit Auto show today. It was not introduced so it must be a rumor.

Sorry if I mislead forum members.

Depends on the year. Some of the GMCs are just ugly in my opinion but that's just mine.

Then consider the fact that over half of Americans have less than $400 in savings. If people were more responsible with their money, they wouldn't be willing to spend so much on a truck, and the prices wouldn't have skyrocketed like they have. Unless you must have one for work, a truck is a luxury item. Not really any different than owning an RV or boat.
That is your opinion that a truck is a luxury item, we have two of them so we must be living the good life.

Call it an opinion if you want, but if you don't need it for work then you don't really NEED it. That makes it a luxury item. If you don't understand this then that's your fault. I'm not criticizing truck ownership at all. I love trucks and own one myself. I would never own one if I was living paycheck to paycheck, however. It's simple want vs need.

So we all should drive smart cars by your rationale, nobody needs a four door car, that is a luxury. If you don't understand this then that's your fault.

We pull trailers, we haul stuff, none of it for work, but we still use a truck.

Good to know you are always correct though.

Well the 2020 GMC 2500/3500 has been semi introduced but final numbers are not official. They said towing will be in excess of 30,000lbs. As we all know we are not interested in towing max but we are interested in cargo capacity. I have not seen cargo capacity mentioned. Has anyone else?

A couple pics of the GMC-the grill is not as rediculous as the Silverado. Still, like a cold pool I’m gonna need some acclimation time to decide if this is not ugly to me.

The GMC looks much better than the bull dog looking Chevy. But some people like bull dogs.

I do think think the new design has a 'biggness' to it that I like.
