Should we add a Prodigy Brake Controller or will the built in suffice?

Use the built in controller. It is better than the Prodigy.

Agree on the built-in. Had a Prodigy in my 2005, built-in in the 2011 is way better. Since it's connected to the on-board computer it can adjust the trailer braking based on the amount of braking from the TV. You will love the new truck. Just traveled from Western NY to Central FL. cruised most of the way in 6th gear.
