Towing it with a 2015 King Ranch F250 4X4 CREW CAB 6.7L V8
GVWR 10,000
GCWR 23,500
Towing 15,900
Curb weight 6828
GAWR 6100
Will I struggle towing this kind of weight with my truck. Do I need to be looking for a trailer that weighs less. I have noticed on this forum that some people bought to big of a trailer for what they are towing it with. Don't want to be part of that group.
What is the rear axle weight of your truck loaded up for camping without the trailer? Full fuel, firewood, tools, etc. The difference between the axle weight loaded and the GAWR(rear) will give you a number. Divide that number by .25 and you will get a GVWR of the trailer that will fit the specifications of your truck.

Forget about the towing capacity. That is a general weight with a bare bones truck with light driver and only options that increase capacity. 4X4, bucket seats, model upgrades all reduce the number.

On a side note, when you go and look at the trailer again check the yellow weight tag on the entry door. Mine is listed as 9,053lbs dry, the tag shows 9980 of course without batteries or LP tanks. So dry its well over 10K.

Add the weight for your family and any "stuff" you will carry plus the hitch weight (100 lbs tow, 150 lbs 5er) and you will be getting up there not leaving much room for the trailer weight.
