Andersen WDH user thoughts?

Downsizing from a Sunnybrook 30fks to a Cougar 22MLSWE, hoping to switch from my Equalizer to an Andersen due to the lighter weight and ease of hooking unhooking. Anyone towing around 7000 gross with an Andersen and a half ton SUV(2007 expedition) with input? Tons of info + & - when searching, most that don't like it seem to have longer and heavier trailers or have never owned one but praise their hitch.

That's what I've found too...

My concern;
I'm worried that the tension on the coupler assembly by the weight distributing chains will cause issues.

It seems to work well for 6kips and below... I haven't seen any reports for heavier trailers...

Buying the Andersen on Amazon prime and will tow the new trailer home with it next Saturday. A little over two hours most on I5, if it doesn't live up to expectations I'll return it.

Have an Andersen.
Took me a bit to get it dialed in.
Didn't have chains near tight enough.
Nice thing is adjustments are simple. Just tighten 2 nuts.

I’ve been running the Andersen for four years. I tow a 8900lb 32’ travel trailer with it. Went to the Andersen to stop the proposing of the trailer and for the lift weight of the hitch head (bad shoulders). The hitch has worked well. Had some problems with the hitch head lining but Andersen replaced the head. The new design looks like it will prevent that from happening. I tow with a HD truck so my experience with weight distribution will likely be different from a lighter weight tow vehicle. I know people who tow with 1500 series trucks and have no complaints about weight distribution but Andersen themselves have indicated people towing long heavy trailers with light tow vehicles have reported issues with weight distribution

Thanks for the reply! The weight of the hitch has me convinced its worth trying to dial it in for my rig.
