Bought 1996 Fleetwood Savanna TT for 2900...

Was this a good deal?

Roof needs recoating but no leaks or dry rot.

Needs a good cleaning.

Everything works.Click image for larger version

Looks like a real score if you're handy with maintenance. Some of Fleetwood's trailers were quite good in the traditional travel trailer market. I don't know how they compare to the Prowler or Terry line, but they were always popular, and reliable. Saw several Savanna 5th wheels in a quick look. As I understand it Fleetwood's overall failure was due to the motorhome/mobile home divisions.

Get that roof under control, you should be good to go. All your appliances and electrical should be readily available through other sources. Appears to be a diamond in the rough, fiberglass walls, European tip out windows, the original graphics look pretty good too. Much better choice on your part than financing a fancy new trailer. You'll be laughing all the way to the bank and enjoying old school cool travel trailer life

Make sure you know what the roof is before buying coating. TPO and EPDM are two different animals. There are utube videos to show you how to determine which you have. I helped my brother to put epdm over a tpo roof and it was expensive and a major pita. Find out which you have first!

Hello, I just bought this same camper and it's been a great buy but can't find a owner's manual anywhere for it though.

Welcome! You will get better answers if you start your own thread as people viewing this one will not see your question unless they read this whole old thread.

To answer your question, the manuals for RVs are very generic and usually give no real information specific to a particular model. All the appliances, hardware and equipment were supplied by other companies and the manuals for those are available on-line and were not included in the owners manual to begin with. The owners manual mostly deals with loading info, tongue weight, hitch selection, preventive maintenance etc.

Even what WAS in the manual was not specific. It would say to wash the roof and inspect for leaks twice a year but not more info than that.
