I don't have any experience with the BrakeSmart controller, but I have no complaints about the Prodigy, which is widely used and only costs around $100.
We have the Brakesmart controller and it does perform as advertised. Expensive? yes but if you have electric/hydraulic brakes there are not many options that are true proportional.
If you have electric drum brakes the Jordan controller is true proportional and works very well at a fraction of the cost.

buc1980, yes it is one that came from Dr Performance after Steve sold out.
I tried the Voyager that came with the hydraulic disc brakes and it was a real pain.

buc1980,
I have a Brakesmart that works great! Much better than the one I replaced.
Mine is a couple years old so I don't remember the cost. I got it from the Brakesmart web site.
