Buy Now or Wait for 2019?

Hello,

I am looking for a new TV, leaning towards the Ram 2500 6.7 2wd

Anyone know if there are major changes coming next year or just cosmetic updates?

Thanks,
Amauri

I believe the newer style 1500 will be utilized for the 2500/3500 next year. That's how it worked in the past. I'm in the same boat as you. Buy now or wait...

Redesigned trucks for 2020 is what I saw. So 16 months or so before major changes to engines, body and frames.

Much could depend on your allotted budget.
I'd fully expect price increases for the coming model yr. due to several glaring reasons.

We're going into the "traditional" season(s) for better deals & incentives.
Best of luck, and happy shopping.

I wanted a Ram 3500 SRW and didn't figure a 2020 would be "all that great" and found a left over new 17 Laramie that had big discounts. Best part it was configured how I wanted it.

In my garage now.

Go to TURBO DIESEL REGISTER.COM, and see what has been posted about the new Ram trucks for the coming years. This is a dedicated site for Ram owners with the Cummins engine the forum has been around since the First Gen trucks. I have been a member since Nov 2007 when I purchased my Dodge Mega Cab with the 6.7 L Cummins.

Picked up a new 2018 Big Horn 2500 CC 4x2 6.7 today

Had to drive 100 miles to the closest dealer that had the exact options we wanted and got a great price too.

Very happy so far and planning to go for a shake down run tomorrow.

Thank you all for the helpful suggestions.

Excellent truck! Hope you enjoy your truck! I would still check out TDR and the 4th gen post for your model year.

+1 on the turbo diesel register. I write for them

As for ram speculation heres how I see it. 2018 and early 2019 are the windows of opportunity. 2019.5 will see the intro of Cummins new Cgi block which will amount to a significant refresh. Personally I wouldn't jump on the newest if x the new. 2020 model year will see another bump in the hp and torque wars and also the new body style. None of this info is verified its only my opinion from having watched ram and Cummins through the years. BTW my truck is an 04 and I think I'll be getting an 18 for above reasons
