The guide only lists a tow weight, but it does cover differnt models/options etc. so it is pretty specific.

Both Ford and Chevrolet have very good matrices for most of their trucks online. Just go to their factory websites and ferret out the towing guides.

I go by a Ford and Chevy dealers often and I have noticed they don't have any new 3/4 and 1 ton trucks on the lots. I looked where I got my truck from and the got one 1 ton truck a cab a work truck. The dealer where I got my truck from was a large dealer with always about a dozen 3/4 and five to six one ton trucks. I have heard they are having to pay 7 percent to the bank now for their inventory.
