Chevy Avalanche Gas Fueling Issue

I have a 2005 Avalanche which has developed a severe gas fueling issue. I've had this vehicle for 4 years and never had a problem fueling until recently. At first, I thought it was a fuel nozzle issue, but nope, it's the same at all gas stations. I begin to fuel, it pumps about a gallon and a half and the nozzle stops. I then have to remove the nozzle reinsert it and it pumps another gallon and stops. As you can imagine, fueling up 25 gallons takes a long time. It may be the vent, but haven't a clue how to fix this or why it happened.

This guy on YouTube seems like a very similar problem.

Check engine light is on? Your issue screams of a plugged charcoal canister or a stuck closed EVAP vent valve. Any decent tech with modern scantools can diagnose this in under an hour unless it really intermittent.

If driven in heavy dust often there are kits to relocate the vent valve tubing.

Vent tube on the fill neck needs to be cleaned out.

No check engine light... just VERY slow fueling!

If you can get to the vent tube at the gas tank clean it with a piece of wire or air.
The proper way to clean it is to drop the tank, pull the "cap" and blow it out from the inside. At this point you might as well just replace it.
