Was stopped by CHP once almost 20 years ago and he didnt believe it was legal until he called his superior, and it helped that he had to leave for a wreck. Was stopped once by CHP when not towing doubles because he wanted to know why my truck could pull the trlr up the grades at the speed limit. He was getting ready to buy a new truck.
