I got a 2002 version of the Mountain West Directory guide to sorta know what was coming up in the roads..

It seperated by state and on roads that have grades above 4% or so or twisty etc it gives you the story of the road..

On my 2003 I use the exhaust back pressure valve as a engine brake. While this is not like on teh newer models it will hold back my 30ft airstream on a 6% 3 mile grade on Hwy 421 coming down from boone nc to raleigh.

I crest the hill, under the blue ridge parkway at like 35 MPH, which is truck speed limit, and put the trans out of OD.. when my speed hits about 45 I engage the EBPV and lock the TQ as well.

When my speed hit about 60 teh speed limit I jab the brakes HARD till speed is back to 45 adn then go down.
