Yes, the 3.5L EcoBoost drivetrain is a towing monster. With my ancient 2012 I have towed almost twice the GCWR with no apparent problems such as burning up anything in the drivetrain, or breaking springs or other parts of the suspension, or blowing out tires.
GCWR 14,000, GCW 27,500.
GVWR 7,100, GCW 8,460.
rGAWR 3,800, rGAW 5,080.
So the F-150 3.5L EcoBoost drivetrain can
PULL it.
But no problems only if you don't consider being overloaded (exceeding the GVWR and/or rGAWR) as being a problem.
How much overloaded are you when towing 11,000 pounds? My poor little F-150 3.5L EcoBoost pickup is overloaded when towing my itty bitty TT that grosses only 4,870 pounds when wet and loaded on the road.
GVWR 7,100, GCW 7,200 (trailer axles 4,220, tongue weight 650.)
Show us your scale weight numbers compared to the GVWR and rGAWR when towing 11,000 pounds. I'm sure lots of others would love to know their F-150 when properly equipped to have a tow rating of 11,500 pounds can tow an 11k trailer without exceeding any of Ford's weight limits.
